Texas A&M Golf Course Reopens

After a year-long renovation, Texas A&M’s golf course is finally finished.

Weather caused the course to open about a month later than originally planned.

The 175-acre course was resodded as part of a multi-million dollar project.

In addition to the 18-hole renovation, the Department of Health and Kinesiology donated funds to add a short-game practice facility next to the pro shop.

“It looks great from the roads but it looks even better when you’re in the middle of the course,” said course Superintendent Tanner Light. “I think once you start coming out and playing you’ll remember every hole. The first time you play you’ll remember every hole after you get off the course.”

Tee time reservations begin on October 19th, and the grand re-opening is on October 26th
