James T. “Tim” Wilson is the founder and publisher of Resort Trades, the timeshare industry’s news journal. After starting Developmental Trades, the predecessor to the current title, in 1987, Wilson launched a number of other publications to bring news and supplier information to professionals in niche industries. In September 2012, he acquired The Gardens RV Villages, a community of luxury homes with fully attached RV garages, located in Crossville, Tennessee. Wilson undertook both his undergraduate and graduate studies in Civil Engineering at Tennessee Technological University.
Sharon Scott is a registered resort professional with the American Resort Development Association (ARDA), in Washington, DC. She began her career with Resort Trades in 1995, contributing a monthly column on current topics of note in the timeshare/vacation ownership industry. Scott also operates a boutique PR and marketing firm assisting small and mid-sized businesses in the timeshare industry. A graduate of the American University in Washington, DC, Scott entered the timeshare/vacation ownership industry in 1989 as a membership director for the American Resort Development Association (ARDA).

Carrie Vandever is a summa cum laude graduate of Roane State Community College with an A.S. in Computer Art & Design and has been with The Trades since 1995. Her 20+ years of experience and knowledge of Adobe products have made her a wonderful asset in the design and publication of both The Resort Trades and The Golf Course Trades magazines. Her talent is also utilized with promotional outreach for the Gardens‘ development. She also handles some overall office management. In addition to her myriad responsibilities in all operational aspects of the company, she handles SEO, online marketing, and social media.
