Bridgehaven Golf Course Superintendent Wins Award (Nov 5)

November 5, 2015 – A Fayette County golf club superintendent is getting a state award for his achievements at the course.

Jason Hart, who became the superintendent at Bridgehaven golf course last year, won the award for superintendent of the year by the West Virginia Golf Association. Improvements to course conditions, rising membership, and a friendly demeanor helped him win this award. The golf course has seen a dramatic turn around under his management. But Hart is quick to shift the focus to his fellow staff saying they have played a key role as well.

Hart says: “Other than being very honored and shocked, I definitely want to thank my staff. They’re the reason why I won the award. And to me it’s a big collaborative effort, they do most of the labor. And I feel like it’s all of ours. Not just mine.”

The Bridgehaven golf course is open 7 days a week, year around.
