The First Tee of Louisville, a nonprofit group that promotes junior golf, is scheduled to receive a $50,000 grant Friday that will enable it a build a par-3 youth course at Seneca Golf Course.

The UPS Foundation, an affiliate of United Parcel Service Inc. (NYSE: UPS), is set to present the gift at 2 p.m. Friday at Seneca, 2300 Pee Wee Reese Road.

As Business First reported, participants will use a backhoe to dig into the turf there to signal the start of construction of the course, according to a media advisory.
