Honda Power Equipment, a division of American Honda Motor Co., Inc., based in Alpharetta, Ga., and its operating unit, Honda Engines, will have a dynamic presence at GIE+EXPO 2016.
At its experiential interactive display at the venue’s outdoor exhibit area, the Honda Power Equipment team will showcase an all-new, value priced generator for both residential and commercial applications. These high-quality models, equipped with inverter technology and powered by the Honda GC190 engine, offer consumers superior, reliable and quiet performance along with light weight, portability and excellent fuel economy. The Honda Power Equipment team also will discuss innovative design enhancements to selected product lines including its HRC commercial lawn mower line for the professional landscaper.
At this year’s venue, Honda Engines representatives will be available at the company’s indoor booth (#3118) to discuss their continued technological advancements and environmental commitment. The Honda Engines team will showcase its complete range of engines models, including the Honda GC Series—quiet, efficient engines specifically designed for home-use power equipment applications. A number of innovative design features—including the world’s first internal timing belt on an engine of this kind, a tough nylon overhead cam, and uniblock construction—make the GC engines lighter and more compact than other engines in their class, with significantly reduced noise, fuel and oil consumption. Combined with Honda’s innovative DuaLube lubrication system, the result is a simple, sophisticated design that minimizes the number of parts and can reduce some potential maintenance needs.
The Honda Engines team also will spotlight its newly designed Cyclone Air Cleaner to be made available on select Honda GX Series commercial engine models—the Honda GX160, GX200, GX270 and GX390—starting in 2017. With a more compact design than the legacy air cleaner it replaces, the new Cyclone Air Cleaner fits more tightly within the overall shape of the engine. The new, smaller design specifically targets OEM applications where reduced overall engine dimensions are critical. In addition, the new Cyclone Air Cleaner offers the same superior filtration efficiency with a triple-cleaning chamber that is particularly useful in applications where the equipment operates in extremely dusty conditions.
