CEO/Founding Publisher
James Wilson is the founder and publisher of Resort Trades, the timeshare industry’s news journal. After starting Developmental Trades, the predecessor to the current title, in 1987, Wilson launched a number of other publications to bring news and supplier information to professionals in niche industries. Golf Course Trades is one of the most successful niches. In September 2012, he acquired The Gardens RV Villages, a community of luxury homes with fully attached RV garages, located in Crossville, Tennessee. Wilson undertook both his undergraduate and graduate studies in Civil Engineering at Tennessee Technological University.

Carrie Vandever is a summa cum laude graduate of Roane State Community College with an A.S. in Computer Art & Design and has been with The Trades since 1995. Her 30+ years of experience and knowledge of Adobe products have made her a wonderful asset in the design and publication of The Golf Course Trades magazines. During her tenure, she has gained experience in web design, SEO, social media, and online marketing which she uses daily to grow the Golf Course Trades audience. She also handles some overall office management. Her talent is utilized with promotional outreach for the Gardens‘ development, as well.

Marla Carroll is experienced in assisting suppliers and vendors to market to reach golf facility owners and golf superintendents through her experience as a marketing associate for Golf Course Trades Digital Products.
