Quail Ridge Country Club’s brand new $23 Million clubhouse opened for business on Saturday, Dec. 9 to a sold-out crowd. The new 60,000 square-foot clubhouse and cart facility includes five dining rooms, an indoor and outdoor grille room, two outdoor dining patios, a lobby, a library, new men’s and ladies’ locker rooms and a larger golf shop. Construction of the new facility began in May of 2016 with the demolition of the old clubhouse which served the community for over 40 years.
“There was a lot of anticipation and excitement with the opening of our new clubhouse here at Quail Ridge Country Club. Peacock & Lewis did a magnificent job of designing the new clubhouse to meet the needs of our current and future membership,” said Quail Ridge Country Club President Gerry Leider. “The outdoor bar, porches, terraces, patios and fire pit conversation areas have become the talk of the community even well ahead of the opening. I personally can’t wait to enjoy my first occasion with friends for a drink and a fine meal.”
Quail Ridge’s residents overwhelmingly supported building this “Old Florida” style clubhouse which features beautiful views of the golf courses, waterfall, tower clock and short-game practice area.
“It’s an exciting time at Quail Ridge as we begin a new chapter in the history of our community. The brand-new clubhouse will serve as the center of social activity for the club, hosting events large and small, and offering a place for our members to gather and make memories with friends and neighbors,” said Bill Langley, Quail Ridge Country Club General Manager and Chief Operating Officer. “We couldn’t be more pleased with how everything turned out, and are proud of all the teams that came together to make this beautiful new clubhouse come to life. We look forward to the season ahead, and to helping our members experience the best year ever here at Quail Ridge.”
More than 100 of Quail Ridge’s residents have golfing handicaps in the single digits and the community is headquarters to the prestigious Society of Seniors golf organization. Two former members, Sam Snead and Claude Harmon, were Masters champions.
