While Frank LaVardera, Audubon International’s Director of Environmental Programs for Golf, praises all the dedicated superintendents who have worked to earn and maintain ACSP for golf certification for their course, he commended two superintendents for their exceptional efforts.
- Superintendent Jim Pavonetti at Fairview Country Club in Greenwich, Connecticut, a private course that earned its certification in 2010.
- Nelson Caron, Director of Golf Course & Grounds Maintenance at The Ford Plantation in Richmond Hill, Georgia, which was certified just this past September.
The two superintendents’ experience in going through the process, and in the case of Fairview, in maintaining a decade of certification is so noteworthy, we’ve already scheduled an upcoming article featuring Jim and Nelson and their amazing crews.
