DryJect LLC is pleased to announce the expansion of its business operations with the addition of a new franchisee. Representing another step forward in fulfilling the company’s mission to have a strong presence across all areas of the country, the establishment of this new franchise territory will provide prompt and quality service to the states of Wisconsin, Indiana, and the Northeast corner of Illinois (Chicagoland).
Jim Alvarez, of Sod Squad Chicago, Sod Squad Wisconsin and Sod Squad Indiana has purchased these DryJect franchise territories. Jim knows his territory well as he has lived and worked in Chicago and Northwest Indiana area for most of his life. Jim certainly knows his way around a golf course as he has been on the rating panel for Golfweek Magazine since 2007, owns Innsbrook Country Club and boasts a 0 handicap.
After graduating from Indiana University, Jim Alvarez began his business career in the trading pits of the Chicago Board of Options Exchange. He took the money he made from trading and went on to invent the Hammy putter. Three years later the Hammy won a LPGA tournament by Natalie Gulbis, who moved to being the #3 best putter in the world after using this game-changing putter. Spencer Levin used the Hammy to win on the Kornferry Tour in 2023; shooting an amazing 20 under par.

Alvarez bought Innsbrook Country Club in June of 2021. He feels strongly that having the firmest and fastest greens is the best way to make Innsbrook the premier club, and he is very excited to have Dryject help him achieve this lofty goal.
Alvarez met his wife in the 4th grade and they were married in 2001. They have two small boys; Jax (14), and Asher (12). Jim is also a board member of Siwa Therapeutics, a company that is actively working on a cure for cancer.
As of January 2024, Jim will have completed his extensive training and is ready to “hit the ground running”!
Of the expansion, President and owner of DryJect, John Paddock commented, “We are excited to have Jim as part of the DryJect family. We wish him the best of luck in his endeavors as we work together to ensure the best possible service to our customers.” Continuing on, he stated “It is pleasing to know that these territories will receive the attention and quality of service they deserve.”
