Professional golfer Justin Thomas is once again partnering with Convoy of Hope to provide relief for Hurricane Dorian survivors in the Bahamas.
“In support of Convoy of Hope’s efforts in the Bahamas, I am making an initial donation to help those affected by Hurricane Dorian,” said Thomas. “In addition, I am pledging $1,000 for every birdie I make on the PGA Tour for the remainder of my 2019 season. I challenge my fellow PGA Tour members and all professional golfers to join the ‘Birdies for the Bahamas’ campaign. Join me in spreading the word to deliver help and hope to those affected by Hurricane Dorian.”
A Convoy of Hope Disaster Services team deployed to the Bahamas on September 3. So far, Convoy has worked in Freeport, Treasure Cay, Marsh Harbour, and Moore’s Island. In collaboration with partners and donors, Convoy of Hope has delivered 23 plane loads of product to the Bahamas. They have distributed more than 89,000 meals, 475 water filters and 147,846 pounds of disaster relief products so far.
