With more than 32,000 acres of turfgrass seed in production in Washington, grass is big business in the Evergreen State. To highlight the value of Washington state’s turfgrass seed industry, the seven-member Board of Directors of the Washington Turfgrass Seed Commission recently launched a new website at waturfgrass.org.
The website provides information about turfgrass seed grown by farmers in Washington state, and explains how an assessment on production funds Commission advocacy and activities. A searchable database serves as an archive for research studies funded by the Commission on turfgrass seed production, weed control, disease suppression, and genetics.
The new website was developed by the team at What’s Your Avocado? Marketing & Public Relations, based in Mount Vernon, WA.
