Rain Bird Golf Announces New Roles For Lawson, Whelan, and Subramanian

Jeff Lawson, Tony Whelan, and Mohan Subramanian have new positions within Rain Bird’s Golf Division.

Jeff Lawson is now Rain Bird Golf’s marketing manager. In his new role, Lawson will lead the marketing team’s efforts to grow sales of Rain Bird Golf products and services worldwide. Lawson has been with Rain Bird Golf for four years, initially serving as Western regional manager and, more recently, as national sales manager for the U.S. and Canada. He has an extensive marketing background, including previous leadership roles with Bose Corporation, Brooks Automation, and Progressive Technologies.

Tony Whelan takes over for Jeff Lawson as Rain Bird Golf’s national sales manager for the U.S. and Canada. Whelan will use his considerable management experience in the golf and irrigation industries to grow sales in the important North American market. He began his career with Rain Bird in 1997 in Canada. In 2012, Whelan left the company to pursue other interests and returned in 2021.

Mohan Subramanian is Rain Bird Golf’s new international sales manager. Subramanian will lead and support the international golf sales team’s efforts to grow global sales. For 13 years, he held various international sales roles for Rain Bird Golf before moving to the U.S. in 2018. Subramanian has deep knowledge of multiple international markets Rain Bird is targeting for future growth.

Stuart Hackwell, director of Rain Bird Golf
