FMC Kickoff for 2022 ‘Give Back to Local Chapters’ Program and Launch of New Serata Fungicide a Success at 2022 GCSAA Conference and Trade Show

The “Give Back to Local Chapters” is the in-season give-back program that keeps on giving for FMC Professional Solutions and its customers and the 2022 GCSAA Conference and Trade Show was the place to do it. The company used the February 5-10 event in San Diego to celebrate GCSAA chapters that won rewards in 2021, while giving attendees the chance to win more during the show.

Evan Parenti, Golf & Lawn Market Manager

“We had a lot of activity at the FMC booth thanks to a golf simulator with a special tie-in to our portfolio of fungicides, “ said Evan Parenti, Golf & Lawn Market Manager. “As a result, 42 different local GCSAA chapters will receive checks thanks to member participation. Also, between now and August 31, 2022, purchases of select FMC fungicides will generate additional rewards later this year for GCSAA local chapters.”

Additional interest was generated by FMC’s debut of Serata, a new fungicide specially formulated to combat Pythium diseases. It contains the active ingredient picarbutrazox, a new compound from the novel tetrazolyloximes class of chemistry. The new mode of action fungicide provides superintendents a new tool to combat Pythium Root Rot, Pythium Blight, and Pythium Root Dysfunction.

Mike Sisti, North American Marketing Manager

“Individual meetings generated a lot of positive interest in Serata and our other new fungicide, Kalida,” according to Mike Sisti, North American Marketing Manager. “The fact that our 2022 Give Back rewards program features our entire fungicide portfolio furthers FMC’s commitment to the golf market and local GCSAA chapters all around.”

FMC also celebrated GCSAA chapters, hosting over 300 customers and golf course superintendents at a “GCSAA Local Chapter Give Back Event’ and dinner of networking, storytelling, and prizes at Lou & Mickey’s. The evening honored top local chapters in 2021 and featured over $3,000 in prizes.
