Metropolitan Golf Group Expands Its Portfolio with the Acquisition of South Carolina’s Eagle’s Pointe Golf Club

Metropolitan Golf Group, a full-service golf course and country club owner/operator and management organization based in New Jersey, announced that it has purchased a second golf club in the Hilton Head Island market to add to its expanding portfolio.  Eagle’s Pointe Golf Club in Bluffton, a Davis Love III signature course, was acquired in August from Hallmark Golf.  In April, Metropolitan Golf Group assumed ownership of Crescent Pointe Golf Club in Bluffton, also in an all-cash transaction.

Metropolitan Golf Group operates membership-based country clubs, including Forsgate Country Club in Monroe Township, New Jersey, and The Summit Club in Armonk, New York.

“Since it opened in 1998, Eagle’s Pointe has been a popular Lowcountry destination for visitors and members and is conveniently located just a few minutes from Hilton Head,” said Christopher R. Schiavone, Founder, President and CEO of Metropolitan Golf Group. “The Davis Love championship course occupies a serene setting that winds through moss-draped oaks and freshwater wetlands and lagoons, and provides golfers with a memorable experience.  Our goal is to refresh the facility and upgrade course conditions to create the best value for golfers and members in the area, along with its ‘sister’ club, Crescent Pointe.”
