Golf Course Turf Managers Gain New Tool With Carve™ Xtra Dual-Action Fungicide

Golf course turf doesn’t get many days off. With pressure from diseases like dollar spot, brown patch, anthracnose, and fairy ring, superintendents need tools that deliver consistent results across a changing set of conditions. Sipcam Agro USA has announced Carve™ Xtra, a next-generation fungicide developed specifically to meet those demands.

Carve™ Xtra features a dual-active formulation of azoxystrobin and prothioconazole, two trusted chemistries with complementary modes of action. Together, they provide broad-spectrum control, strong preventive and curative activity, and reliable systemic protection—supporting healthier, more resilient turf.

Carve™ Xtra Key Features

  • Broad-Spectrum Performance: Effective against 13 major turfgrass diseases, including several that thrive under summer stress.
  • Built-In Resistance Management: Dual modes of action help reduce the potential for fungicide resistance in high-pressure environments.
  • Quality Improvements: Supports root strength, color retention, shade tolerance, and water-use efficiency.
  • Flexible Use: Compatible with standard rotation programs and suited for tank mixing across all golf turf types.

“Golf course superintendents need solutions that work, and offer a great ROI,” said Dave Feist, Senior Director of Marketing at Sipcam Agro USA. “Carve™ Xtra is designed to deliver consistent, reliable performance while supporting long-term turf health.”
