Women in Golf Awards and 59club Launch Five-Year Collaboration to Drive Industry-Wide Insights

The Women in Golf Awards and 59club have announced a landmark five-year collaboration designed to capture and share data-led insights into what it means to be a woman working in the golf industry.

This groundbreaking global initiative will track women’s journeys throughout their careers — highlighting pivotal moments both in real-time and through long-term reflection. The partnership reflects a shared passion for recruiting, retaining, and celebrating talented women across the golf industry.

“This project builds on the central questions that have driven the Women in Golf Awards since their inception.  How do we encourage more women to work in golf? What impact will that have on the sport and the industry?” comments founder of The Women in Golf Awards, Nicole Wheatley.  “We see that the number of women working in golf is growing.  Now we want to understand what their experience of the industry are and turn that knowledge into positive change. That journey starts here.”

The project will harness 59club’s advanced survey software, analytics, and training provision to deliver a clear picture of women’s experiences in golf — from opportunities and challenges to aspirations and leadership pathways.  These insights will provide golf with the tools to benchmark progress, inform decisions, and ultimately shape a stronger and more inclusive future for the game.

Sarah Jane Shepherd, Global Franchise Manager at 59club commented,  “59club are proud to be partnering with Women in Golf Awards in an exciting long-term project to shine a light on the experiences of women working in golf. By gathering and sharing meaningful data, we aim to raise the profile of women in the industry and encourage more females into leadership roles. More diverse leadership teams with different experiences gives a broader perspective – our aim is to embrace and support this change to help shape a stronger future for the golf industry.”

This five-year project marks an important step towards creating a golf industry that is more inclusive, better informed, and ready to embrace the talent of women at every level.
