March, 9 2015 – Global Turf Equipment has announced the appointment of 35-year golf industry veteran Walt McMahon as vice president of sales.
A standout performer for Golf Ventures for more than two decades, McMahon has received numerous awards and accolades over the course of his career. They include being named Jacobsen’s Dealer of Year (2010), consistent recognition as Helena Company’s Commission Agent of the Year (1998-2013) and Grigg Brothers’ Top Sales Recipient for North America (2010-13).
McMahon has also been a member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America for more than 30 years, and was president of the Palm Beach GCSA in 1992.
“Walt brings a unique mix of management, sales and superintendent experience to this newly-created position,” said Jim Sartain, president of GTE. “This background makes him comfortable touting the performance and financial benefits of our pre-owned equipment to turf care professionals and golf course owners and operators alike.”
