Tucor Celebrates 30 Years of Innovation in Commercial Irrigation

Tucor, Inc., a leader in irrigation & water management technologies, proudly celebrates its 30th anniversary. Founded in 1995, Tucor was the first company to introduce 2-Wire Irrigation Control Technology to the U.S. Commercial Landscape market. Holding seven patents, Tucor is synonymous with innovation, driving many technological “firsts” in the commercial landscape industry.

Other notable accomplishments are as follows:

  • 1999-2005 – Tucor introduces many innovations for remote water management, including on-site operation of a controller via mobile phone (2000 – TurfPalm), incorporation of cellular modem for remote access of desktop software (1997 – ProCom & TW Series), and control via internet (2003 – RK-Pro Series controller).
  • 2014-2019 – Tucor launches its Nexus line of products with the introduction of wireless & battery-powered operation of irrigation valves (2015 – Nexus Wireless Valves). Later, Tucor expands the Nexus line with continued innovations, including a patented flow meter & master valve combination (2019 – UFMV-A).
  • 2023 – Tucor introduces its first controller line in over a decade (2023 – NLP Commercial Controller). With the NLP Line, Tucor introduces enhanced 2-Wire technology, a new web platform, and control of 500 valves and 125 sensors. The NLP Line blends flexibility, scalability and powerful features in a controller platform that paves the way for future control innovations.

Tucor remains committed to advancing irrigation technology. “We have always prioritized innovation and technology as a company,” said Founder and CEO Larry Sarver. “30 Years later, that fact has not changed. With the NLP Line and other products, we are on the cusp of some market-making innovations.”  Looking toward the future, Tucor will remain focused on expanding the NLP Line and a line of flow products, aligning innovation with practical customer value and usability.
