Trey Herman Promoted to Chief Operating Officer

A much-deserved promotion was handed down to the now Chief Operating Officer, Trey Herman. In his new Maxim Golf Solutions role, Herman will now oversee the operations Maxim Golf’s properties.

Herman joined the Maxim Golf team in April of 2023 during the acquisition of the historic Dub’s Dread Golf Club in Kansas City. In his time with Maxim Golf, Trey has been promoted from Head Golf Professional to General Manager of Dub’s Dread. Now, he will take his operational talents and oversee multiple properties within the Maxim Golf portfolio.

“Maxim Golf Solutions is incredibly grateful for the hard-work, determination, and business acumen Trey brings to our organization”, said Bryan Minnis, Chief Executive Officer at Maxim Golf Solutions. “We realize the importance of providing the very best golf course experience from the time members and patrons enter our properties until they leave, and Trey’s leadership in this endeavor has proved pivotal to our success.”

The game of golf has always been a huge part of Herman’s life. He started playing at the age of three, and throughout his career, competed at some of the highest levels. Trey graduated from Fort Hays State University with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry with thoughts of pursuing a career in medicine. His path quickly changed after graduation when he decided to follow his passion and begin golfing professionally – all while working part-time at Dub’s Dread Golf Club. He accepted the position as Head Golf Professional in 2017 where he learned alongside some of the industry’s best leaders. Over the years, he developed strong leadership skills and began leaning into his operational strengths that would ultimately mold the future of Dub’s Dread Golf Club.

“Trey is a key component to the success of Maxim Golf”, says Minnis. “His leadership and cooperative planning have enabled our team to flourish in driving customer experience and solidifying the service culture of our company. We look forward to Trey expressing his talents as we expand our operations throughout the golf industry.”
