The Toro Company Invests In Game Of Golf And Sustainability

The Toro Company has announced its continued support in helping to advance sustainability in and through the game of golf, with a recent grant awarded to the Golf Environment Organization (GEO), an international not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping the global golf community establish leadership in environmental enhancement, resource efficiency, and community value.

The investment will directly support the organization’s core work which is entirely focused on sustainability and golf, including credible advocacy, communications, and capacity building; research and innovation; development and management of solutions; and external relations.

Kelli Jerome GEO Director said: ” The Toro Company’s continued support for the work we do to help the golf industry extend its values to nature and people is essential.

At a time when the industry is looking to scale the impact of the credible and innovative sustainability platform created with and for golf, this contribution provides valuable capacity, to put golf ahead of the curve in addressing some of the big issues that will affect long-term growth and viability of the sport. At the same time, golf will also be able to play a stronger role supporting the world’s sustainable development goals.”

“For the last three years, we have supported and worked closely with GEO,” said Judson McNeil of The Toro Company. “We are confident in the innovation and ambition showed by their team, and the ever-growing network of partners and program participants. We believe GEO fills a vital role in the golf industry, bridging golf and the modern sustainability movement; contributing specialized expertise and strategy; providing practical, scalable solutions which generate real positive impact; and, helping golf credibly communicate its social and environmental benefits.”

With this announcement, Toro remains a Premier Corporate Partner and the key stakeholder in the collective and collaborative platform developed to help drive sustainability in and through golf.
