Tee-2-Green announced that the seventh painting in the “Artistry of Golf” Series will be unveiled and awarded at the 2011 Golf Industry Show in Orlando. Sponsored by Tee-2-Green, the series of commissioned paintings pays tribute to the hard work and dedication of golf course superintendents.
“The Artistry series is an annual tradition and each year it generates enthusiasm and positive feedback from superintendents, which is why we enjoy doing it so much,” explained Bill Rose, president of Tee-2-Green. “This year, the course features Martis Camp near Lake Tahoe in California. Every part of the course is exceptional, but we’re particularly fond of the greens, which feature Penn A-4.”
Held in conjunction with Tee-2-Green’s “Seeds of Fortune” game, one lucky participant will win the original framed oil painting. In addition, every “Seeds of Fortune” participant who reaches a certain point level will receive a signed and numbered limited edition artist print suitable for framing. Other visitors to the Tee-2-Green booth will receive a commemorative poster featuring the artwork. For complete details, including a summary of Seeds of Fortune and point levels, visit Tee-2-Green booth number 2853.
The work of artist Sandra Cashman, the seventh painting in the annual series, titled “The Seventeenth Hole at Martis Camp,” features the High Sierra course at Martis Camp in Truckee, Calif. The highly anticipated course was designed by Architect Tom Fazio and blends beautifully into the natural landscape, offering stunning mountain views framed by larger-than-life jeffry pine trees.
Complementing the High Sierra scenery is the use of the industry’s most innovative turf grass varieties, including Penn A-4 on the golf course greens. Recognized for its environmental stewardship, Martis Camp was diligent in choosing naturally advanced turf species, as well as maintaining other conservation techniques.
