Target Specialty Products Expands in Louisiana By Acquiring Distributor Precision Chemical & Equipment, LLC

Target Specialty Products, a leading national wholesale distributor of pest management and turf and ornamental products, expanded its footprint to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, by acquiring the assets of Precision Chemical and Equipment, LLC., opening the distributor’s 42nd U.S. service center.

Target Specialty Products continues to experience exceptional growth in recent years.  The company’s new Baton Rouge location comes on the heels of high demand in the Louisiana area and will further Target Specialty Products’ continued industry leadership by supporting customer accounts with stocking and on-time delivery programs.

“The growth in customer demand in Greater New Orleans and the surrounding area has allowed for Target Specialty Products to expand our business by adding another service center,” said Todd Ferguson, Head of Target Specialty Products. “Acquiring a terrific company with superior service values allows us to hit the ground running, as we continue to provide unparalleled customer service and an array of leading pest management and turf and ornamental products. We look forward to growing our customer base in this region while catering to and servicing our growing customer base in all 50 states and Canada.”

Shawn and Shae Robinson, former owners of Precision Chemical, will join Target Specialty Products and assist in the smooth transition of the company.

“As we were looking for a great partner to transition our business, we began to talk to Target Specialty Products, and the more we spoke with them and got to know their management team, the more interested we became,” said Shawn Robinson. “Combining the reach and expertise of Target Specialty Products is a great compliment to the local business we have created in Louisiana. This will help drive value for our clients while improving customer service.”

Headquartered in Santa Fe Springs, California, Target Specialty Products continues its expansion throughout North America, growing its footprint and customer service efforts across the West, Midwest and East Coast regions.
