Storr Tractor Company Continues Long-Standing Partnership With Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade® as Official Provider of Mid-Duty Vehicles

As millions of people turn their excitement to the 90th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade® on November 24, Storr Tractor Company and Toro are honored to again play a part in helping support this great tradition as the official provider of mid-duty vehicles.

“We are thrilled to support the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade,” said MaryLou Des Champs, president and CEO of Storr Tractor Company. “It is special to be part of this historic Parade.” Storr Tractor Company has been providing Toro turf care equipment to the people and businesses of Long Island, and other areas of New York and New Jersey, for over 50 years.

For 16 years, Storr Tractor Company, a Toro distributor based in Branchburg, N.J., has provided Toro® utility vehicles used to anchor the giant balloons as they travel down the 2.5 mile parade route. This year, Storr Tractor Company is providing a combination of 37 Toro® Workman® GTX, HDX and MDX utility vehicles, along with road technicians to support the vehicle fleet. While handlers guide the giant balloons, the versatile and tough Workman utility vehicles serve as mobile anchors filled with 19 tons of ballast.

“Storr Tractor’s Thanksgiving Day Parade team of drivers, technicians and ground support people are just as excited now as we were 16 years ago when we began working with Macy’s on the Parade,” said Ken Indyk, sales director of Commercial Equipment for Storr Tractor Company. “The Toro Workman vehicles have proven to be easy to operate, durable and versatile. The Macy’s Parade Studio constantly pushes the creative envelope. They created the Balloonicle – part balloon, part vehicle – and we even have a Workman MDE driving inside the Aflac duck. New this year is the Workman GTX as an agile float tow and studio support vehicle. We’re honored to be part of the extended family of volunteers for this great event.”
