Society of Golf Appraisers join 2011 Golf Industry Show

The Society of Golf Appraisers has signed on as a supporting partner for the 2011 Golf Industry Show, Feb. 9-10, in Orlando.

“The Society of Golf Appraisers is a great addition to the Golf Industry Show,” said Mike Hughes, CEO of the National Golf Course Owners Association (NGCOA). “The owners and management teams at golf facilities have always relied on the expertise of golf course appraisers to ensure accurate valuation of their businesses.”

The Golf Industry Show is an innovative trade show designed for the owners/operators of golf facilities and the professional members of the golf course industry. The event combines education, networking and solutions for golf course superintendents, owners, operators, architects, builders, equipment managers, appraisers and others.

“The Golf Industry Show is about bringing together all aspects of the golf industry,” said Rhett Evans, interim CEO of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA). “This addition of the Society of Golf Appraisers offers another facet of the industry for attendees to network, seek information and utilize as a resource. The quality of the partners and their varied expertise is impressive.”

The Golf Industry Show is presented by GCSAA and NGCOA, along with participating partners the American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA), the Golf Course Builders Association of America (GCBAA), the United States Golf Association (USGA), the National Golf Foundation (NGF), the International Golf Course Equipment Managers Association (IGCEMA), and supporting partner the Society of Golf Appraisers (SGA).

“We look forward to joining the upcoming Golf Industry Show in Orlando,” said SGA President Ralph Brekan, MAI. “Partnering with the Golf Industry Show provides our members prime networking opportunities and a stronger presence in the golf industry.”

SGA is a national organization of appraisers and consultants specializing in the valuation, market analysis, and feasibility analysis of golf courses and golf-related property. Members hold the prestigious MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute and have each demonstrated a long term commitment to and competence in the valuation and analysis of golf properties.
