Sipcam Agro Solutions’ Investment in a Brand New, State of the Art, Fungicide and Insecticide Plant Allows for Immediate Onsite Tolling to Benefit US/Canada Ag Formulation Capabilities

In the U.S. agriculture industry, few family-owned corporations can synthesize and formulate their own products, but Sipcam Agro Solutions, LLC, a subsidiary of Sipcam Agro USA, Inc., now possesses this important ability. Sipcam Agro USA is proud to announce the opening of a brand new, state-of-the-art, 12,000-square-foot fungicide and insecticide formulation and packaging plant.  This new facility offers many advantages that other U.S. ag product companies do not have.

“Sipcam Agro owns the technical and formulations plant, which allows us to be completely back integrated on products such as Prothioconazole, Clomazone and Chlorothalonil,” said Brent Marek, CEO and COO of Sipcam Agro USA, and CEO of Sipcam Agro Solutions.  “Ownership of a formulations plant offers Sipcam’s customers a reliable supply of quality products, production flexibility and cost reductions. For tolling customers, a fungicide and insecticide plant in the south offers a convenient location close to Gulf of Mexico ports and end-use market production.”

Emphasis on the word ‘reliable’ as sellers of important fungicides, herbicides, insecticides and biosolutions for the agricultural and turf and ornamental industry typically rely on tollers from third-party formulation plants. Any delays or termination of delivery can severely affect not only the bottom line of the seller but negatively impact farmers and growers. The days of waiting for Active Ingredients (AI) to be formulated for production in a timely manner are over for Sipcam Agro USA and Sipcam Agro Canada.

Sipcam Agro Solutions management is leading initial formulation production with the commercial tolling of Active Ingredients (AI) Chlorothalonil and Prothioconazole. These important fungicides are the base ingredient for many of Sipcam’s most effective and popular products. The state-of-the-art, automated plant includes brand-new equipment and vertical and horizontal mills, facilitating production of soluble concentrates (SC) and emulsifiable concentrates (EC) for a variety of packaging sizes. Marek adds that the near future includes the addition of a fungicide bulk tank farm by the end of Q2 2025, and in late 2025, improved formulation development services.  The company is looking for key tolling partners and has available capacity and experience.

“With synthesis and formulation plants in several countries, we look forward to working with group partners in numerous AI’s globally,” added Bryan Grunsky, Plant Manager. “We are also pleased to support the local Waynesboro, Mississippi, community by creating jobs and supporting local businesses.”
