The driving range at Springbrook Golf Course is now open for use following the completion of the construction phase of the renovation of the driving range, practice areas and first tee. The first tee is scheduled to reopen September 24 and the new range tee, practice green and chipping green will open fully next spring. The existing chipping green on the east side of the parking lot will remain open for use throughout the project.
The goals of the project are to expand and improve the driving range tee and practice green, add another chipping green and improve the overall traffic flow of the first tee and practice areas.
“The August construction phase went very well, allowing the range to reopen ahead of schedule,” said Kevin Carlson, superintendent of golf operations. “The seeded areas have germinated, and while the new turf grows in, we will be using the mats on the driving range tee for the remainder of the season.”
