February 19, 2015 – Propex Operating Company has announced the launch of an erosion control solutions program for the golf course industry. Propex TEEtoGREEN is a total solution program designed to address the erosion and soil stabilization challenges of golf course owners, club managers, superintendents and builders with an insured performance guarantee.
The Propex TEEtoGREEN program utilizes tested, proven and trusted erosion control products for the protection and repair of pond or lake shorelines, streams and creeks, steep slopes, and other areas throughout the golf course. Propex TEEtoGREEN features a patented X3 Fiber Technology manufacturing process to allow for vegetated and sustainable alternatives to rock riprap and other costly erosion control methods. The solutions program incorporates an overall needs assessment, planning and engineering design, certified installation, and a prescriptive inspection and maintenance process to extend an insured performance guarantee to the golf course.
“We are excited to bring the legacy of our erosion control success to the golf course industry,” said Andy Durham, PE, director of marketing for Propex Geosolutions and the TEEtoGREEN program. “But it’s the insured performance guarantee that makes this so uniquely valuable. It’s an unprecedented offering in our line of business.”
The Propex TEEtoGREEN program was successfully implemented for golf course construction and renovation projects throughout North America, including Stonebridge Golf & Country Club in Boca Raton, Fla., and Germantown Country Club in Germantown, Tenn., among others. The signature project for the Propex TEEtoGREEN solution to date was the renovation of the Desert Rose Golf Course in Las Vegas in 2014, as part of a substantial flood control effort sponsored by the Clark County Regional Flood Control District.
Details on these and other Propex TEEtoGREEN projects will be on display at the Golf Course Industry Show booth number #26002.
