Prime Source a Division of Albaugh, LLC
Prime Source, a division of Albaugh, LLC., announced on Tuesday the hiring of two new territory managers; Mike Daugherty as Midwest Territory Manager and John Rom as Mid-South Territory Manager. “With our current growth, we took this opportunity to split the Midwest region. This will allow us to have better alignment for our growing portfolio and customer base,” says Justin Watts, National Sales Manager for Prime Source. “We are thrilled to bring on two highly experienced individuals who will continue building upon the successful relationships in these territories.” Mike will be responsible for MN, IA, MO, ND, SD, NE and KS and John will be responsible for TX, OK, AR, NM, and CO.
Mike brings over 35 years in the turf and ornamental industry, including over five years as a territory manager with a basic manufacturer and 30 years as a golf course superintendent. In recent years, Mike has also grown a successful, full-service lawn and landscape company, giving him a unique background in both the golf course and lawn industry that will help him in assisting distributors, superintendents, and lawn care operators.
Mike received his Associates Degree in Turf Management and Ornamental Horticulture from Danville Area Community College. He has been married to his wife Julie for 32 years and together they have three children: Tyler, Karlie, and Gabriella. Mike and his family reside in Troy, IL, a suburb of St. Louis, MO.
John brings over 20 years of distribution experience within the turf and ornamental industry. He started his career as a distributor sales representative and progressed in his roles as a Sales Manager, Operations Manager, Branch Manager and Turf and Ornamental Market Manager.
John was born in Texas and raised in Oklahoma, receiving his bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Central Oklahoma. John has been married to his wife, Jamie, for almost 19 years and together they share two daughters: Chloe and Brooklyn.
He and his family currently reside in Castle Rock, CO with plans to return home to either Oklahoma City metro or the Dallas/Fort Worth metro areas. For more information on Prime Source and their products go to www.primesource-albaugh.com.
