Nufarm to demo Greenkeeper app, 2 new products at GIS ’17

Nufarm will introduce two new products at its booth at the 2017 Golf Industry Show, which is set for Feb. 4-9 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

Dr. Bill Kreuser will demonstrate the Greenkeeper app at the company’s booth, No. 1425, on Feb. 8 and Feb. 9 at 10:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Nufarm describes the Greenkeeper app – designed exclusively for turfgrass professionals by the turf program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln – as an essential decision-support tool.

The company will also be introducing two new products during the show, Pinpoint and Celero, while featuring two other products as well, Anuew and Millennium Ultra 2.

Pinpoint is a fungicide that is formulated with a new active ingredient designed for outstanding dollar spot control.

Nufarm says Pinpoint provides superintendents and other turf management professionals with an excellent fungicide program rotation product to help manage and mitigate dollar spot resistance from SDHI, DMI, benzimidazole and dicarboximide fungicides.

Pinpoint is labeled for use on golf courses and sod farms, as well as residential and commercial lawns.

Celero is a selective, post-emergence herbicide for control of sedges, including kyllinga, in established residential and commercial turfgrass, golf courses and sod farms.

Imazosulfuron, the active ingredient in Celero, is a systemic sulfonylurea (SU) herbicide that translocates down to the roots to deliver sedge control, Nufarm says.

Celero is labeled for both broadcast and spot treatment in cool- and warm-season turf.

Meanwhile, Nufarm’s Anuew is a proprietary tool for cool- and warm-season turf management. Anuew contains prohexadione calcium, a new turf plant growth regulator, or PGR.

Nufarm says Anuew can be applied to all managed turf areas, including golf greens, tees, fairways and rough, residential and commercial lawns, sod farms, sport fields and similar areas.

The company’s Millennium Ultra 2 is a weed-control product. Nufarm says the post-emergence herbicide provides extraordinary control of the most challenging broadleaf weeds, including clover, speedwell, ground ivy and Virginia buttonweed.

Because Millennium Ultra 2 translocates to the roots, Nufarm says, it’s effective even against deep-rooted perennials such as thistle, goldenrod, artichoke and nettle.

The unique formulation of 2,4-D, clopyralid and dicamba is one of the most effective formulations for broad-spectrum weed control available in the market today. Millennium Ultra 2 is your premium weed control option in athletic/recreational fields, cemeteries, sod farms, golf courses, industrial sites, non-cropland, rights-of-ways and roadsides.
