Noteefy has named Zac Keener as Director of Partnerships and Strategy of the technology company powering golf’s No. 1 automated tee time waitlist notification program.
Keener spent 17 years at 2015 U.S. Open Championship host Chambers Bay (University Place Wash.), the past five as General Manager with KemperSports. Under this stewardship, the course ranks No. 1 in the Evergreen State by Golfweek and Golf Digest, and No. 21 among “Best Courses You Can Play” by GOLF Magazine.
Engaging with golf course owners and operators, Keener will utilize his expertise in operations and marketing, along with Noteefy functionalities, to facilitate their generation of revenue streams and optimize staff efficiency. Additionally, he will oversee collaborations with the National Golf Course Owners Association, National Golf Foundation, and other prominent industry entities.
“During the initial six months of implementation at Chambers Bay, Noteefy successfully recouped over $500,000 in revenue that could have otherwise been lost,” says Keener. “The effectiveness of the system was so bold, it prompted me to transition from a prestigious position within the golf industry to join the company.
“My aim now is to assist facilities in optimizing their tee sheets and helping golfers find the tee times they want at incredible courses across America.”
Through Noteefy, golfers desiring tee times already taken at their favorite golf courses and resorts receive real-time text and e-mail alerts when those slots open due to cancellation. They then book tee times online per the normal process.
The Noteefy booking assistant – often referred to as similar to the OpenTable and Resy automation product for golf – is customized to golf courses’ branding and integrates seamlessly on top of each POS tee sheet.
“Zac knows what makes golfers tick and golf courses profitable,” says Jake Gordon, Founder and CEO of Noteefy. “The minute he introduced Noteefy to his golfer database, the floodgates opened, and last-minute tee times were re-booked almost instantaneously.”
Keener joins one of the golf-industry’s fastest-growing companies. In recent months, leading multi-course operators KemperSports, Landscapes Golf Management, PGA TOUR’s TPC Network, Bobby Jones Links, CourseCo, Touchstone Golf deployed Noteefy for their daily-fee courses. Single golf courses and resorts are also utilizing Noteefy in droves and finding it transformative.
Research shows more than 20% of online tee times are cancelled and go unfilled, leaving up to $50,000 in lost annual revenue on average for daily-fee courses. Those leveraging Noteefy report six-figure revenue increases while relieving golfers’ frustrations previously caused by their endlessly calling courses and refreshing screens in search of preferred tee times. Staff duties are re-allocated due to Noteefy’s automated process
Bringing cutting-edge technology and innovation to golf course and resort operators, Noteefy (pronounced “Notify”) has the first automated tee-time assistant and waitlist solution for improved golfer booking experiences as well as course staff efficiency and financial performance. Many courses report six-figure revenue gains from tee times that would have otherwise perished due to golfer cancellations.
