Nicklaus Design supports Women’s Golf Day on June 6

No fewer than 20 Nicklaus Design layouts are among the more than 600 golf courses registered to host Women’s Golf Day events. Women’s Golf Day is a four-hour experience happening globally on June 6, where women and girls can experience golf for the first time, or where current players can play and engage with women interested in golf.

Participating Nicklaus Design courses that will host events tailored to female golfers are located in 11 U.S. states and six different countries. Included are: Al Zorah Golf Club (Ajman, United Arab Emirates); Aliso Viejo Country Club (Calif.);Aspen Glen Club (Carbondale, Colo.); Bear Mountain Golf Club (Victoria, BC, Canada); Bear’s Best Atlanta (Ga.); Bear’s Best Cheongna (Incheon, South Korea); Bear’s Best Las Vegas (Nev.); Champions Retreat (Evans, Ga.); Country Club of the South (Alpharetta, Ga.); Creighton Farms (Loudoun County, Va.); Golden Bear Golf Club at Indigo Run and Golf Club at Indigo Run (Hilton Head, S.C.); Golf Club Crans-Sur-Sierre(Switzerland); Mission Hills China (Shenzhen, China); Nicklaus Golf Club at LionsGate (Overland Park, Kan.), PGA National Resort & Spa (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.); Pinehurst Resort & Country Club (Pinehurst, N.C.); Reunion Resort and Club (Orlando, Fla.); Flintrock Falls and The Hills Country Club (Austin, Tex.); and Trump Golf Links at Ferry Point (The Bronx, N.Y.).

Women’s Golf Day is aimed at engaging, empowering, and supporting female golfers through businesses, such as public, semi-private, and private golf courses; golf stores; driving ranges; and mini golf/putt-putt facilities. The format for Women’s Golf Day events held at traditional golf courses generally includes two hours of lessons or two hours of play, plus two hours of socializing and networking, aimed at striking up conversations about the issues that affect female golfers.

The goal of the four-hour experience is to allow a simple and accessible platform to build a foundation for the game of golf, and to create a network to support the continuation of golf no matter each participant’s skill level or interest. As part of Women’s Golf Day’s mission, players and host courses are encouraged to engage in an online conversation leading up to the worldwide event and throughout the day using #WomensGolfDay.

In total, there are 689 locations in 46 countries registered to host over 29,000 participants. Find an event near you and register at womensgolfday.com
