Newly Approved Beloukha® Herbicide Featured At Golf Industry Show

Belchim Crop Protection USA (Belchim USA) announces that Beloukha®, a new biodegradable herbicide, has received approval for EPA registration, and is now available for state registration across the United States. The company is showcasing this new product at The Golf Industry Show, this week in San Diego, California.

Beloukha® is a non-selective, broad-spectrum, foliar-applied herbicide that acts exclusively by contact, attacking and destroying the cell membranes of the plant epidermis causing rapid tissue dehydration. Made up of 51.98% pelargonic acid, a naturally occurring substance sourced from sunflowers that breaks down into carbon dioxide and water, Beloukha® provides burndown of both annual and perennial broadleaf and grass weeds, plus most mosses and other cryptogams.

Approved for and proven effective on turf, landscape, hardscape and ornamental areas, Beloukha® is a valuable, fast-acting weed control solution that keeps golf courses, cart paths, and clubhouse patios looking pristine. “‘Natural’ products are often met with skepticism,” says Tom Wood, General Manager of Belchim USA. “When our customers see that Beloukha® has a visible effect within hours, and leaves no residual, they couldn’t be more impressed. We’re excited to be able to provide this solution to the turf and ornamental industry in the United States.”

Along with this new product, Belchim USA officially welcomes Steve Dal Sasso as National Key T&O Account and Regional Manager. “Steve brings a wealth of experience in products supporting the turf and ornamental industry,” says Tom Wood. “We’re thrilled to welcome him to the Belchim USA team.” Stop by Booth #2411 at The Golf Industry Show to meet Steve and learn more about Beloukha®. Currently, state registrations are in process. For additional information, including the official label, visit the Belchim USA website, www.belchimusa.com.
