Mount Vintage Golf Club announced several staff appointments on Friday.
Joey Warren has been named assistant general manager, according to Mount Vintage General Manager/Head Golf Professional David Usry.
A 20-year veteran of the communications profession, including the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce, Golf Channel/NBC Sports and Augusta State and Georgia Southern, Warren will oversee all communications, marketing and advertising efforts for Mount Vintage, while assisting with the day-to-day operations of the golf shop.
In other moves, Ben Amerson has been promoted to greens superintendent and Chris Hargrove has been named assistant greens superintendent.
Amerson joined Mount Vintage in March and has served as interim course superintendent since July. He has worked at Augusta Country Club, Augusta National Golf Club and Reynolds Plantation.
Hargrove was a second assistant superintendent at Mount Vintage from 2004-06. He has also served as assistant superintendent at Bent Tree Golf Course in Jasper, Ga., and at Forest Hills Golf Club.
