September 12, 2015 – There is a new face leading the Lantana Golf Club.
Jim Sanders joined the club as General Manager in July and has quickly jumped into his new role, listening to members and spearheading improvements.
“I am excited to be here and look forward to becoming a part of the Lantana community,” said Sanders.
Sanders has more than 25 years of experience in all aspects of the golf industry. Prior to joining Lantana Golf Club, Sanders served as the Director of Golf at Stonebridge Ranch Country Club in McKinney, General Manager at Gentle Creek Country Club in Prosper, and as the Head Golf Professional at several North Texas courses including Thorntree Country Club, Bridlewood Golf Club, and The Lakes at Castle Hills.
He graduated from Texas Tech University with a BBA in Management and was a four-year letterman on the Red Raider Golf Team.
Sanders has been married for 22 years to his wife, Brandy, and they have two children, Brittney, 17, and Braeden, 14. They currently live in Allen where they have called home for the past 14 years.
When he’s not at the club, Sanders enjoys watching his children compete in their many sporting events, hanging out with friends, and even an occasional round of golf.
Sanders replaces Stephen Phillips, who was promoted to Regional Vice President and General Manager of the Dominion Country Club in San Antonio after thirteen years at Lantana.
