Mesa Country Club Appoints New General Manager

Mesa Country Club in Mesa, Arizona, announced the hiring of a new General Manager, Nate McLaughlin. McLaughlin joins the Mesa Country Club team with some 20 years of impressive experience in hospitality and at prestigious private country clubs.

Prior to his appointment at Mesa Country Club, McLaughlin was Director of Clubhouse Operations at Belle Meade Country Club in Nashville, Tennessee. His experience also includes positions at Scottsdale’s Desert Mountain Club, North Shore Country Club in Mequon, Wisconsin, and with Marriott Hotels in Spartanburg, South Carolina.  Early in his career, he spent four years at Mesa Country Club working as Assistant Food and Beverage Director.

McLaughlin is a native of the valley and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality and Tourism from Northern Arizona University and a Master’s degree from NAU in Business Leadership. Additionally, he holds a level one Sommelier certificate from the Court of Master Sommeliers Americas.

“We are pleased to welcome Nate to our club and we look forward to his valuable contributions and dynamic leadership as we mark our 75th anniversary this year,” said President of the Board Neil Baier. “In the next few years, Mesa Country Club will be undergoing some significant upgrades and improvements and Nate’s background ensures that we will deliver a high level of service to our members and guests.”

McLaughlin is recently married and resides in South Scottsdale with his wife, Erica. He’s excited to return home and direct operations at the club.

About Mesa Country Club

Located along the borders of Tempe and Scottsdale in northwest Mesa, Mesa Country Club is a traditional gem in every sense. A parkland layout set among towering eucalyptus and pines, the holes move left and right on this 6,900-yard, par 72 routing.

Unlike other clubs in the Valley, Mesa Country Club skirts up and down the plateau from which the city got its name, creating dramatic elevation changes throughout the twists and turns of the course. This topography – combined with a club campus which includes dining, lighted tennis & pickleball, a pool, and more – makes Mesa Country Club the home for discerning players from Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, and Phoenix.

Member owned and operated with access limited to Members and their guests, the MCC culture begins and ends with great golf. Equity, Seasonal and Social Members are currently being accepted.
