Maxim Golf Announces Addition of Fire Ridge Golf Course Expanding Portfolio to 24 Properties

Maxim Golf (“Maxim”), a Midwest golf and recreational  management and consulting firm located in Kansas City, has been retained by the Wyandotte  Nation to manage Fire Ridge Golf Course, the Northeast Oklahoma championship course  formerly known as Peoria Ridge. The Wyandotte Nation acquired the property in August 2026,  preserving a course that had been scheduled to close permanently, and has partnered with  Maxim to operate the facility under its new name. Opened in 2000 as a Bland Pittman design,  the 18-hole layout plays 6,960 yards from the championship tees across roughly 247 acres of  rolling Northeast Oklahoma countryside. Pittman, whose regional work includes Bailey Ranch in  Owasso and Battle Creek in Broken Arrow, routed the course over a ridge that gives players a  view of the property from nearly every hole. The facility features a full-service pro shop, a  clubhouse bar and grill, an event space, a full-length driving range with more than 30 hitting  bays, a putting green, and a dedicated short game area. Located just off Interstate 44 and U.S.  69, Fire Ridge sits twenty minutes from Grand Lake, thirty minutes from Spring Valley Golf Club  (a Maxim Golf property in Neosho, MO), and ninety minutes from the Tulsa metro.

“Fire Ridge is a golf course that deserved a future, and the Wyandotte Nation stepped in to give  it one,” said Bryan Minnis, Principal and Founder of Maxim. “Adding this property to our portfolio  brings our Members and Patrons a championship layout in a corner of the country that travels  exceptionally well, and it puts our team to work on a course with real upside. We are grateful to  Chief Friend and the Wyandotte Nation for the trust they have placed in us, and we look forward  to a long partnership built on returning this facility to the standard the region remembers.”

Additional updates regarding course operations will be shared in the coming weeks.
