Jenny Products, Inc., a long-time manufacturer of portable and stationary compressors, offers a line of electric two-stage, horizontal-tank stationary air compressors. Ideal for applications requiring greater pressure, the line displaces between 9.1 and 107.0 cfm at 175 psi.
Entirely made in the United States, the 22 belt-driven models in Jenny’s two-stage horizontal-tank line provide an extensive range of size and power options. On the smaller end, 2- and 3-horsepower models feature 60- and 80-gallon tanks and displace between 9.1 and 13.4 cfm. Larger units provide 5, 7.5 and 10 horsepower, displace between 18.3 and 43.6 cfm and come with a standard magnetic starter. Tank sizes on the larger end range from 60 to 120 gallons. All models at 10 horsepower or less come in one- or three-phase power.
Two-stage units providing greater than 10 horsepower operate on 208-, 230-, 460- or 575-volt three-phase power and come with 120- or 240-gallon tanks. The 15-horsepower models displace 72.4 cfm, while 20-horsepower units displace 92.6 cfm. The largest units in Jenny’s two-stage horizontal-tank line provide 25 horsepower and displace 107.0 cfm at 175 psi.
Built with quality and durability in mind, Jenny compressors feature a heavy-duty, two-stage cast-iron compressor pump; powder-coated, ASME certified tank; manual tank drain; tank gauge; large canister intake filter with replaceable filter elements and a pressure-relief safety valve. Each unit is splash lubricated with Jenny “Ultimate Blue” Compressor Pump Oil. A large flywheel provides for extra-cooling and easier startup, and special unloading valves further assist the motor in starting. A directional air shroud also helps reduce pump temperatures. The thermal-overload protection feature saves the motor from overheating by preventing it from drawing too much current.
To help maintain consistent pressure levels, an automatic start/stop control with a pressure unloader comes standard throughout the two-stage series. A constant-run feature may be installed instead for those requiring a continuous, heavy flow of compressed air. A dual-control option is offered, as well, which enables the operator to switch between the two configurations as needed.
Additional options include an oil sight glass, low-oil-level switch, air-line filter and control circuit transformer. Adding a lubricator will ensure proper lubrication regardless of air-flow levels for ratchets, impacts and similar tools, while an aftercooler will condense compressed air to a liquid and remove it from the system. Adding a dryer will be beneficial when dealing with water condensation in freezing or high-humidity conditions. Each Jenny compressor also is available in additional pressure configurations.
With roots dating back to the 1870s, Jenny Products, Inc. has been an OEM manufacturer for several major manufacturers of air compressors. Today, Jenny manufactures and markets its own line of hand-carry, wheeled-portable and industrial-stationary air compressors.
