Iconic Short Hills Country Club Selects Green Golf Partners As New Management Team

Green Golf Partners (GGP), one of the nation’s leading golf course management and development companies, has signed a three-year agreement to manage Short Hills Country Club, a Quad Cities institution founded in 1922.

Short Hills Country Club (www.shorthillscc.com) is a family-friendly, full-service club featuring the finest golf course in the Quad Cities, swimming, children’s playground, game room, even fishing! Short Hills, located at 2500 11th Street in East Moline, Illinois, also hosts a variety of community events throughout the year, including golf tournaments, youth events, wedding receptions and charitable fund raisers.

GGP (www.greengolfpartners.com/) offers its management expertise to enhance the rich traditions that comprise Short Hills. New management includes veteran General  Manager John Danehy and Events Coordinator Janice Timmerman. They join existing head golf professional Mike Downing  and Superintendent Tim Gravert.   They will be introduced to Short Hills members this fall to develop plans for 2018 and beyond.

“Short Hills CC is very excited to join with Green Golf Partners so we can continue to provide our membership a great golf and social experience,” said Ronald Wastyn, Board President, Short Hills Country Club. “When we visited other Green Golf properties you could just sense their commitment to provide a fun atmosphere.  They really understand that when people come to a club they want to enjoy a round of golf, just relax and have fun.”

Wastyn added that partnering with GGP allows Short Hills to gain from their experience in providing a member-centered fun experience. GGP manages 15 golf courses and golf clubs in five states, including Kemper Lakes Golf Club in suburban Chicago which will host the 2018 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.

“We are simply delighted to be part of the future at Short Hills,” said Matt McIntee, CEO of Green Golf Partners.  “The golf course is in tremendous shape and is fun to play. We’re planning a number of exciting upgrades around the club that will be great additions for current and future members.”

GGP built a reputation as a knowledgeable golf company with expertise across a wide range of golf course management, including course maintenance, marketing skills and business acumen.  Staff personnel at GGP golf courses and clubs keep customer satisfaction as their primary focus, whether in the upkeep of the course or in the preparation of extracurricular activities for the social members.

Additionally, GGP plans to offer reciprocal arrangements with other courses within its national portfolio in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Wisconsin and Florida.
