April 15, 2015 – Wright Manufacturing’s commercial lawn mowers can now be purchased just five minutes from where they are manufactured in Frederick, Md. Horizon, a national landscape equipment dealer headquartered in Phoenix, Ariz., that operates more than 60 stores in 11 states, has just opened a 10,000-square-foot facility at 1569 Tilco Drive in Frederick.
Geoffrey Conway, Horizon’s Mid-Atlantic zone manager, said that the Frederick store is the first in Maryland, but more are planned. The new store will focus on serving commercial and residential landscape contractors, municipalities and grounds maintenance people. Wright has been Horizon’s lead mower line in the Mid-Atlantic zone since the middle of 2014.
Visitors to Horizon’s new showroom are immediately greeted by a large grouping of Wright mowers. Further into the facility, a giant Wright logo has been painted on the floor, and a selection of popular Wright mowers forms the border around the circular logo.
“We are excited,” said Wright President Shawn Wolf, “to have a local dealer of such caliber. We look forward to working with Geoff Conway and the entire Horizon team to continue expanding our relationship with the dealership across the country and help them grow in the burgeoning Frederick market.”
Conway said that Horizon selected Frederick for its first Maryland store because it is centrally located, allowing the company to ship product to customers and other stores. He added that the community is growing, and Horizon wants to grow with it.
