GRIGG TEES OFF IN AUSTRALIA

Starting this summer, Grigg Brothers, a wholly owned subsidiary of Brandt Consolidated, Inc., will launch its plant nutrition products in Australia through Globe Australia, a division of Amgrow Group. Grigg Brothers, one of the most respected brands in the turf business, manufactures and markets leading products for the golf and sports turf industry.

The brand launch encompasses more than ten products. These products include Grigg’s proprietary liquid organic line of proven foliar nutrients, such as Gary’s Green®, PK Plus®, AminoPlex®, and Tuff Turf®, as well as select granular fertilizers. The product line is expected to grow as demand ramps up.

“Asia has been an important market for us for a long time,” said Mark Grigg, president of Grigg Brothers. “We are just delighted to expand our Asian footprint to Australia.”

Grigg Brothers is represented internationally by Bruce Williams, formerly GCSAA USA President and Director of Golf Courses and Grounds at the Los Angeles Country Club. Williams will be assisting in product training and development in Australia.

“I have been excited about our merger with BRANDT from the day I heard about. And this is why,” said Williams. “With the merger complete, we can take advantage of the relationships that BRANDT has around the world with our leading products.”

Globe Australia is a subsidiary of Amgrow Australia. Amgrow has a significant market share in Australia with its NuTurf and Globe business units and is part of the CK Lifescience Group Hong Kong.

“I’m thrilled with this expanded partnership,” said David Sincock, BRANDT senior business manager Asia Pacific. “This builds on our long-standing relationships with the Amgrow group, making a strong relationship even stronger and expanding the Grigg Brother’s international presence.”

Amgrow has been a long-term partner of BRANDT in both agriculture and turf markets through its Barmac/Globe business groups. The deal was represented by Bob Opacic, Amgrow’s CEO.

“I can’t wait to get the Grigg products into the hands of our customers,” said Opacic. “The Grigg brand has a strong awareness in the Australian market, and we look forward to seeing our customer base enhancing turf health and appearance as a result of using the versatile Grigg product range.”
