Georgia-Pacific Plant Nutrition Adds to Technical Services Group

Georgia-Pacific Plant Nutrition announces the addition of Bruce Prock as senior technical services manager. Prock will provide technical expertise and customer support, and will direct agronomic research and trials for Nitamin® brands, including Nitamin® 30L and Nitamin Nfusion® Steady-Delivery® nitrogen products.

“Bruce’s combination of market knowledge, practical experience and agronomic expertise will be an asset as Nitamin products are increasingly utilized by golf course superintendents and turf managers to improve their turf programs,” says Jon Mixson, national sales and marketing manager for Georgia-Pacific Plant Nutrition.

Prock is a graduate of the turf science program at the University of Florida, where he also was the recipient of an academic scholarship from the Golf Course Superintendent Association of America (GCSAA). He also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in management from Georgia Institute of Technology. Prock most recently was golf course superintendent at the Atlanta Athletic Club in Duluth, Ga. Previous positions included superintendent and turf maintenance positions at The Golf Club of Georgia in Alpharetta, Ga., and University Golf Course in Gainesville, Fla.

As a golf course superintendent, Prock was an early adopter of Nitamin brands of Steady-Delivery nitrogen, from early testing through commercial introduction. “I’m looking forward to applying my turf management skills and agronomic experience, as well as my personal experience with Nitamin brands, to help Georgia-Pacific Plant Nutrition turf customers get maximum performance from their fertilizer inputs,” Prock says.

About Nitamin® fertilizers
Nitamin® 30L and Nitamin Nfusion® Steady-Delivery® liquid slow-release nitrogen products from Georgia-Pacific Plant Nutrition provide a steady supply of nitrogen to the plant, minimizing nitrogen fluctuations that have a negative impact on plant growth and quality. Nitamin 30L, a unique blend of slowly available and readily available nitrogen components, was developed as a foliar-applied fertilizer for use on crops and turfgrass and can be applied with many crop protection products. Nitamin Nfusion was designed to be blended with quick-release, soil-applied liquid nitrogen fertilizers to provide an economical high-efficiency nitrogen source based on seasonal crop nitrogen demand and regional growing conditions.

Georgia-Pacific has been a major raw material supplier to leading fertilizer producers for over 20 years and has over 40 years of experience with urea-based polymer technology. For more information, please visit us at http://www.nitamin.com/ or call the Nitamin hotline at 866-2nitamin.
