Dr. West Bishop, Algae Scientist and Water Quality Research Manager with SePRO will speak about challenges that superintendents face in keeping ponds clean around the course. He will highlight common issues within irrigation ponds and the impact water quality has throughout the entire course including the spread of disease within turf grass, nutrient uptake challenges, and the impacts dirty water has on your fertilizer, herbicide, and fungicide programs.

Dr. Bishop is focused on advancing solutions for nuisance algal/cyanobacterial management, including proactive nutrient mitigation. He is a certified lake professional through the North American Lake Management Society (NALMS). Dr. Bishop has been with SePRO Corporation for over 11 years as the Algae Scientist and Water Quality Research Manager. He is also the Host of Algae Corner®, an informational video series on all things algae.
