The deadline is fast approaching to enter the State Amateur Match Play Championship. This year Black Diamond Ranch, Lecanto, will host the event May 3-7, 2010. So, if you want to compete against the finest women golfers, don’t miss out on the chance to play in this great event.
Go on-line today and sign up to play. ENTRY DEADLINE IS FRIDAY, APRIL 16, 2010.
If you wish to play in the championship flight and compete for the Championship title, you enter as a “Qualifier.” If you want to play within a flight for flight winner, you enter as a “non-qualifier.”
Those entering as qualifiers can play a practice round on Sunday, May 2nd. An 18-hole stroke play round will be played Monday, May 3rd. The 32 lowest gross scores will make up the Championship Flight. (All others will be seeded within their handicap flights.)
The non-qualifier entries may play a practice round on Monday, May 3rd in the afternoon. (You will be following the qualifier stroke play round.)
The matches will start on Tuesday, May 4th. Each player will play 2 matches (One on Tuesday and one on Wednesday.) After the first 2 matches, only winners advance and continue to play.
Match play is a great format,no score, just holes won and lost. It is a great introduction to tournament play for players just starting to play competitively. So, join in. All handicap levels are welcome!
See you at Black Diamond.
