Exmark Spreader Sprayer Wins Engineering Award

The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) has named the Exmark Stand-On Spreader Sprayer winner of a 2016 AE50 award. The award will be presented to Exmark representatives Tuesday, February 9 in a ceremony at the ASABE Agricultural Equipment Technology Conference (AETC) in Louisville, KY.

AE50 awards honor the year’s most innovative designs in engineering products or systems for the food and agriculture industries. The Stand-On Spreader Sprayer is featured in the January/February 2016 special AE50 issue of ASABE’s magazine Resource: Engineering & Technology for a Sustainable World.

Exmark Director of Marketing, Daryn Walters, said winning the AE50 award is validation of the innovative features the Stand-On Spreader Sprayer brings to market.

‘We designed the Stand-On Spreader Sprayer to raise the bar over existing machines in a number of important areas. From ergonomics, to the control system and layout, to spray and spread system innovations, we listened to the feedback of our customers and evolved our product to better suit their needs.’

Companies from around the world submit entries to the annual AE50 competition, and up to 50 of the best products are chosen by a panel of international engineering experts. The judges select products that will best advance engineering for the food and agriculture industries.

The AE50 awards program is sponsored by Resource to emphasize the role of new products and systems in bringing advanced technology to the marketplace. These engineering developments help farmers, food processors and equipment manufacturers cut costs, enhance quality and increase profits.
