April 10, 2015 – After launching the extremely successful CS-590 chain saw in 2014, ECHO is introducing another high performance winner for the large landowner, farmer/rancher and firewood cutter markets– the CS-490, the lightest weight saw in its class.
Targeted against the Stihl MS 271 and Husqvarna 450, the ECHO CS-490 is available in 16”, 18” and 20” bar lengths, all at the same great MSRP of $349.99.
The CS-490 with a 50.2cc two-stroke engine is built for professionals. A dual-post chain brake handle increases durability. The G-Force Engine Air Pre-cleaner ™ reduces air filter maintenance. The automatic, adjustable clutch-driven oiler reduces oil consumption. The heavy-duty air filter with tool-less access provides superior air filtration for long engine life. A magnesium crankcase provides lightweight durability, while the chrome-plated cylinder extends engine life.
The CS-490 also is easy to operate and comfortable, weighing only 10.6 lbs. A vibration-reduction system reduces operator fatigue. Easier start-ups (hot or cold) are facilitated by a reduced-effort starter. A side-access chain tensioner makes chain adjustments easy.
Since 2006, ECHO has introduced 17 new saws to the market. The CS-490 introduction falls on the heels of the popular CS-590, which in 2014 was ranked #1 by a popular consumer magazine and voted the Dealer Choice Award in the handheld product category at the GIE/EXPO Trade Show.
ECHO also recently announced the first Arborist Fleet Discount Program to reward arborists and tree care companies who purchase ECHO chain saws, Power Pruners® and related accessories with product discounts starting at 16% off MSRP and “no-hassle” financing.
All ECHO chain saws are covered by a one year commercial warranty and five year consumer warranty. To learn more about the CS-490 visit www.echo-usa.com or your local ECHO dealer.
