Echo Adds Best-In-Class Back Pack Blower To The Line Up–The PB-580 (Mar 18)

March 18, 2015 – ECHO launched the world’s first back pack blower in 1975 and has been a leader in the category ever since. New for 2015 is the ECHO PB-580 backpack blower, the latest in a long line of high performance models. The PB-580 features a powerful 58.2 cc professional grade two-stroke engine that helps deliver air volume of 510 CFM and air speed of 215 MPH, best in class numbers.

The new back pack blower was designed with operator comfort in mind. It weighs as little as 22.6 lbs. in tube throttle configuration, 22.9 lbs. in hip throttle configuration. It features a full padded backrest for upper and lower back support. The shoulder straps are user adjustable for all day comfort. It also features a vented back pad, an ECHO innovation that allows air to circulate around the user for increased comfort in hot weather. A four-point vibration reduction system also increases operator comfort and reduces fatigue. The tube mounted throttle uses a new grip design that’s easier on user hands during all day use.

Like all ECHO products, the PB-580 was designed to be durable. It comes with a 5-year consumer warranty and 2-year commercial warranty. It features a patented metal wear ring that extends lower blower tube life. It also features Posi-loc™ pipe connections, an ECHO exclusive design that provides secure pipe connections for the life of the machine and a leaf guard that extends engine life by keeping debris out of the fan intake.

To keep noise down and allow extended hours of operation, the PB-580 was designed on the quiet side of the noise spectrum with a 70 dBa (measured per ANSI B175.2 standards).
