Dixie Chopper Selects Briggs & Stratton Commercial Turf Engine (Oct 29)

Dixie Chopper chose to power its Zee 2 zero-turn mower with a 23 gross horsepower¹ Briggs & Stratton Commercial Turf engine.

The Briggs and Stratton Commercial Turf engines are purpose built to meet the harsh working environments zero-turn mowers are expected to work in every day. The engine line features a patented integrated cyclonic air filtration system that offers five steps of debris management to provide unprecedented dust and particle filtration.

The cyclonic air filtration system will withstand a maintenance interval of 250 hours under normal use, approximately two to three times longer than panel style air filters. Plus, its tool-less air-cleaner cover makes changing the air filter easier than ever.

“Customers depend on Dixie Chopper mowers to operate in environments where dirt, dust and debris are a constant, and that can put a lot of stress on an engine,” said Dan Roche, marketing manager for Briggs & Stratton Commercial Power. “Dixie Chopper saw value in the Commercial Turf engine’s five-step air filtration process that combats debris from all sides and helps ensure only clean air is delivered to the engine.”

The Zee 2 from Dixie Chopper powered by the Commercial Turf engine is available in 42-, 48- or 54-inch cutting decks. Its Elite Cutting System is a triple blade deck with high blade tip speeds and a 1.75-inch blade overlap that produces a high vacuum to leave a manicured cut on any grass variety in any condition.
