Des Plaines adds new assistant superintendent of parks and planning (Jun 3)

June 3, 2015 – The Des Plaines Park District has hired a new assistant superintendent of parks and planning.

Corrie Guynn comes to Des Plaines from Evanston, where he worked in the city’s parks division for 9½ years. Guynn is a certified arborist, certified playground safety inspector, and has experience in sports field and turf management, landscape design, and managing special projects, officials said.

Paul Cathey, superintendent of parks and golf operations, said in a news release Guynn’s knowledge will be an asset for the Golf Center and Lake Park golf courses, Prairie Lakes soccer fields, and the renovations under way at Eaton Field Park.
