Daniel Parks named Golf Course Superintendent of Mission Inn Resort & Club

Daniel Parks has been promoted to the position of golf course superintendent at Mission Inn Resort & Club, overseeing agronomics and golf course maintenance of the iconic circa-1917 El Campéon and sister course, Las Colinas.

Parks has previously served as assistant golf course superintendent since joining Mission Inn three years ago.  He replaces long-time superintendent Paul Hickman, who will now serve as a horticulture consultant to the expansive property.

Prior to joining Mission Inn’s golf course management team, Parks gained extensive golf course operations experience during his ten-year employment at The Villages, where he worked on the community’s 500 holes of golf.  While employed there, he earned an Associate Degree in Golf Course Operations from Lake City Community College.

Nestled among Central Florida’s rolling hills in the town of Howey-in-the-Hills, Mission Inn is a 35-minute drive northwest of Orlando. The historic Spanish colonial style resort offers 190 graciously appointed guestrooms, suites and villas, three restaurants, two lounges and poolside bar. Embracing verandahs are ideal for weddings for up to 300, and the air-conditioned lakeside pavilion offers a rustic natural Florida location for 200 guests on Lake Harris. Resort amenities include two championship golf courses, eight tennis courts, trap and skeet shooting range, jogging and bicycling trails, volleyball courts, outdoor pool and hydro-spa, fitness center, full service spa, lakeside nautical center with fishing, powerboats and eco-touring.

For additional information, please call Mission Inn Resort & Club at 800-874-9053 or 352-324-3101 or visit the Web site www.missioninnresort.com.
