Copperleaf Golf Club Welcomes Petrosky as General Manager

Copperleaf Golf Club has recently announced the selection of Josh Petrosky to the position of General Manager/COO for the master-planned development and golf club community in Estero, Florida.

With his extensive knowledge of club operations and strong F&B financial management expertise, Petrosky will direct a staff over 100 hospitality professionals responsible for serving over 1300 club members, guiding Golf Maintenance and Operations, Food & Beverage, Fitness, Facilities and Administration.

The seasoned veteran of multiple roles with private country clubs didn’t have far to travel from his previous employer, Spring Run Golf Club, just one mile away. Petrosky began his career at Spring Run over 15 years ago, working his way up from a part-time busser to Clubhouse Manager.

“After working my way up from the bottom to the top in the private club industry,” says Petrosky, “I am excited to collaborate with an outstanding staff and help create positive memorable experiences for members of Copperleaf Golf Club. As a native Floridian, I took a leap just 50 miles from home and 15 years later have found another home in this beautiful community. Along the journey, I’ve built a family, embraced the Florida lifestyle and developed a deep appreciation for the art of hospitality, a passion for people and service that motivates me on a daily basis.”

Upon assumption of his new position, Petrosky was charged with filling two positions within the club: Director of Finance and Director of Food & Beverage. Both have been hired, leaving his team poised to achieve even greater achievements in the future.

The Port Charlotte High School graduate and Florida native holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Florida Gulf Coast University and a Community Association Manager license.

Copperleaf Golf Club celebrated the opening of its upscale and totally renovated $20 million Clubhouse in November 2024, which features 28,000-square-feet of dining and entertainment options for its members. In addition to this massive capital improvement, Copperleaf is one of the best maintained and most popular golf courses in the area, averaging close to 50,000 rounds per year.

Although Copperleaf is a private community, the Club offers 55 Associate Annual Memberships and 20 Social Memberships for those who live off-property. Currently, the Club is promoting golf play for Social Members during the off season (May to September). There are currently a limited number of Social Memberships available, which includes access to the Club’s first-class dining facilities.
